Welcome to St Peter’s

St Peter’s Church is generally kept locked

June 2022

This website is being updated so unfortunately, at the moment, the Friends of St Peter’s can’t be contacted via The Plan a Visit contact page.

   Sunday 26 June at 6pm

This is a fully sung evensong, such as you would encounter in a cathedral, and is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the installation of our wonderful stained glass window war memorial.

However, due to Covid this has been postponed by two years but we are now delighted to say it is going ahead this year, June 2022.

This is not a concert, there is no need to book a ticket, it is a church service but don’t feel obliged to fully participate if you don’t want to – just sit back and enjoy hearing sacred music sung in the wonderful setting of St Peter’s.

Parking will be available on the adjacent archery field.

Sunday 4 September at 7.30pm

Claude Bourbon is known for his amazing guitar performances that take blues, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and Russian stylings into uncharted territories.

Thousands of people in the UK, Europe and USA have enjoyed listening to this virtuoso so come and enjoy his music in this wonderful atmospheric venue.

Claude has just returned from extensive tours in Europe and America where he is well known.

Initial enquiries for tickets please contact Jenny Griffiths  07776 426103 or jennygriffiths908@btinternet.com

The Friends work in association with
The Churches Conservation Trust to

* Increase awareness of the church and its history
* Encourage greater use of the church for community events

Headed by an enthusiastic committee, the Friends are promoting the use of this much loved building by all members of the local community for concerts, exhibitions, amateur dramatic performances and similar events.

The Friends provide a pool of volunteers to assist the Churches Conservation Trust’s custodian to care for the church.

Membership is open to all and by joining the Friends of St Peter’s, Offord D’Arcy you will be assisting the Trust to develop greater use of the church.

You can give valuable support – simply by belonging.
